In deze cursus leer je hoe je acrylverf kunt gebruiken als medium om mee te schilderen middels een onderzoekende aanpak. In de les ligt de nadruk op creativiteit en het plezier van het creatieve proces zonder dat je uitgebreide technische kennis nodig hebt. Fundamentele technieken worden intuïtief verkend. In deze cursus gaan we onder andere snelle schetsen maken om te experimenteren met streken en texturen, abstracte werken verkennen met de nadruk op vrijheid van expressie, licht en schaduw in landschappen bestuderen en lagen en mengvormen aanbrengen in stillevens.

In deze cursus ligt de nadruk op schetsen, compositie, acrylverf als medium, kleurbegrip, gelaagdheid en het toevoegen van texturen, het schilderen van licht en schaduw en het gebruik van penselen en paletmessen.
Deelnemers worden aangemoedigd om individueel onderzoek te doen en een reeks kunstwerken te maken gedurende de cursus. Deze cursus is bedoeld om je creativiteit ongeremd te verkennen en is niet gebaseerd op conventionele/traditionele kennis van schilderen.

Cursusopbouw
De cursus Schilderen met acrylverf is opgebouwd uit blokken van 8 lessen, waarbij elke les drie uur duurt. Je kunt je inschrijven voor een enkel blok, of meerdere blokken volgen om een jaar lang te leren.
In this course you will learn how to navigate acrylics as a medium for painting using an exploration-based approach. In class we will focus on creativity and the joy of the creative process without a need for extensive technical knowledge. Fundamental techniques will be explored intuitively. Some of what you can expect in this course will be making quick sketches to experiment with strokes and textures, exploring abstract works with a focus on freedom of expression, studying light and shadow in landscapes, and layering and blending through still-life painting.
What will you learn in the course Painting with Acrylics?
This course will focus on sketching, composition, acrylics as a medium, understanding colors, layering and adding textures, painting light and shadow, and using brushes and palette knives.
Participants will be encouraged to develop and pursue individual lines of study and produce a range of artworks throughout the course time. This course is meant to enable uninhibited creative exploration and is not based on conventional/traditional knowledge of painting.
